---CONTEST CLOSED---

Pheww! Mama needs a break!

With four, VERY active, 1.5 yr old quadruplets...I sometimes find myself in need of a relaxing getaway---or at least some serious "chocolate therapy". (I know you other moms know EXACTLY what I'm talking about!)

So when BlogHer approached me with a review involving CHOCOLATE TASTE TESTING--(yes folks, you read that correctly)--I was not about to pass on this delightful opportunity. What better reason to fudge on that New Year's resolution, right?! A big box of M&M's new Premium Chocolates arrived at my door and I thought I was in heaven.

I enlisted the help of several- MORE THAN WILLING -volunteers: My beautifully pregnant sister-in-law and older brother (both of whom are self-proclaimed "Chocoholics")---and we immediately began the arduous task of evaluating these stylish new candies. ;)
(Hey...its a tough job...but somebody's gotta do it, right?!)

Having never seen these deluxe candies, I was immediately smitten with the dazzling array of jewel-toned colors. (How incredibly fun?!) And as I bit into each morsel of chocolately goodness, I let my mind wander to various thoughts and places. The following is my personal experience with these fab new flavors.

Mocha

Warm, comfy, cozy...I'm curled up in a ball, listening to the soft crackling of the fireplace, drinking a soothing Vanilla Latte, with a good book-in-hand. I LOVE that the Mocha chocolates taste like chocolate covered Espresso beans, without having to break your teeth! The invigorating burst of coffee flavor will awaken your taste buds...I could only eat two or three at a time--which is GREAT! Usually all I need is a small nip of something sweet and I'm good to go. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Raspberry Almond

Hip, stylish, confident...Its GIRL'S NIGHT OUT, ladies! Throw on your high heels and lets go hit the town! With a package of M&M's Premium Raspberry Almonds in my clutch, I am feeling fabulous and ready to have some fun! The dark chocolate and raspberry combination was easily my favorite (if not for the sparkling hot pink color alone!)--and throw an almond in the mix as well?--UH-MAY-ZING! I confess, I could NOT stop at just 2 or 3 of these almonds...I think I may have found my new favorite affordable luxury!

Chocolate Almond

Fun, spontaneous, exciting...Its movie/game night with Joe and the kids! We pop in our favorite DVDs, play games- laughing until it hurts, make some buttery popcorn, and snack on these smooth milk chocolate almonds throughout the night. I am pretty sure I could eat an entire box in one sitting. I have always been a sucker for any chocolate covered almond--so, its almost like the other guys didn't stand a chance! I also loved the brilliant blue color of the almond...a sure way to spice up any bland party!

Triple Chocolate

Hmmm...I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I think I was expecting the hard crunchy outer shell of an M&M and was surprised to find a silky smooth piece of chocolate. At first I dismissed the Triple Chocolate M&M as your average chocolate candy...but the more I ate, the more I couldn't restrain myself! The unique blending of 3 deluxe chocolates (dark, milk, and white) created a rich taste that I began to crave at all hours of the day. You'd better watch yourself, because these will sneak up on you, and before you know it---the entire box is gone!
Who me?...No! I'm just sayin'...it COULD happen...(wink)

Mint Chocolate

Cool, brisk, refreshing...I feel alive- soaking in the fresh, crisp, mountain air reviving my soul. I'm relaxing in a rustic cabin, listening to a babbling brook, savoring every second of the mint chocolate morsel that is dissolving in my mouth. Perfect solution for an after-dinner treat to cleanse the palette. These candies remind me of dark chocolate covered peppermint patties--However, I prefer the M&M's Premium Mint Chocolate goodies because they are made of WHITE chocolate infused with mint and covered with a soft, dark chocolate exterior---an amazing taste combination all wrapped up in perfect miniature spheres of delight.

To learn more about these tasty treats, you can visit the M&M website!

I had SO much fun, closing my eyes and dreaming of fun places. It is truly amazing where your mind can take you! So lets have some fun with it, shall we????
I adore my fellow blog readers and would LOVE to know what YOU enjoy doing, how do YOU pamper yourself? Where can your mind take YOU?

I would spend the day on a warm white sand beach. The water would be sparkling blue and clear with a gentle breeze blowing. My husband and my twins would be there and we would play, lie in the sun and water, and laugh together. There would be no laptops, iphones, or any other way the outside world could intrude on our time as a family.

You know when you get together with family for a holiday things are always rushed, and there are so many things to do that the whole things becomes one big blur? I think we need a day (it should be a national holiday) where there are no separate traditions, where the only food consumed is takeout, where everyone is forbidden from washing dishes and all we have to do is sit around and relax, eat and just enjoy the day.

I would start with a 2 hour massage and a facial, oh yeah! A great meal of sashimi, gomae, agedashi tofu, with a great ending of fresh cut fruit. I would then take a nice stroll with some iced espresso and the weather would be 75 and sunny! Then I would take a nap with some hot sexy guy and then I would go shopping and have a ridiculously great night of gourmet food, dancing, and libations. I would then fall asleep and wake up to find that I won gazillion bazillion dollars and could do this EVERY DAY! A girl can dream can't she?!?!

If I had a whole day to myself I would spend it on a beach on Hawaii getting surf lessons during the day. Then, at night, I'd take a sushi dinner cruise w/ DH and watch the sunset.

I've never even been to Hawaii, and I don't know if they have sushi dinner cruises, but hey, it's MY dream day, so I'll dream!

Then I realized it was just any old day. So:

I would lounge in front of the television, stuffing myself with Starbucks lattes and Candy Cane Joe Joes as I watch all the talk shows I miss while I'm at work. All by myself.

Anything and everything... I'd grab my husband and we'd go on a whirlwind international cooking adventure. We'd make a traditional breakfast in Costa Rica, a stunning lunch in Spain, head to the UK for teatime and learn to make dinner in France. And, then we'd head off to Italy for dessert. We'd learn to cook all sorts of interesting things along the way and have a lifetime's worth of memories from it.

If I could do anything in just one day. I would take my husband, daughter and soon to the Phillippines. I would show them were I was born and show them where they are too from. I would search for my birth family. And since I would just have one day, I would tell my birth mother how much I thought of her everyday of my life and that even though we were miles apart, she still had a place in my heart. And that yes, even though you gave me up for adoption, she still holds a special place in my heart. Same with the rest of my birth family father where ever he maybe. ...so yes, that's what I would do.

Great contest! Love your review and all your pics. M&Ms are my absolute fave chocolate (okay, aside from Cadbury, but over here it's made by Hershey's and it's just not the same).

A day to indulge... I'd wake up at home in Australia, and spend the day with my family, who I haven't seen in almost 3 years. They haven't seen our oldest since he was a newborn and have never met our newest addition.

Wow...my perfect day would definitely include the raspberry-dark chocolate mms, maybe even all of the varieties! I'd have to put them in ice though, b/c I would first be headed for the beach in Venezuela with my husband (and kids :) )! Then...we would all hop on a plane and head to Seattle to see my sister (more chocolate needed when we get there, of course)! Finish the day by a crackling fire, preferably in a hotel, with the mocha mm's. It would be nice if it continue the next day.... :) (breakfast in bed, with say, some mm's ?) Have a good one!

Wow a whole day to do anything I wanted....believe it or not, it would be to take my kids on vacation. I am a single mom and we have never had the luxury of going out of town, staying in a hotel and seeing the ocean! Then I would take them to see all the amazing sights and truly experience all that a family vacation entails. Maybe someday! I tell you what though, some M&Ms and a cup of coffee would do me pretty well too. I have been really wanting to try the raspberry ones. Chocolate, raspberries and almonds all in one candy. I think I would be in heaven!

If I could indulge myself in anyway it would be a quite please with sand and a beautiful hotel that no other people were at except my family and the hotel staff. So I could spend time with my children and not have to stop to go to my doctors or therapy. And when they are asleep since other people took care of me and my family I would be able to spend time with my wonderful hubby. Thanks for the great giveaway. Jeanette

Suzanne

Im entering this contest for my daughter.

http://wilddreemer.blogspot.com/.

Im not a blogher but since I do read hers I always click on her adds to help her out with a little cash and this is how I found you. I showed her your contest and all she could say was when mom! when do I have time. To her bloging is like reading a good book.

I know if my daughter had one day to pamper her self it would be to just get to set at home for one day with no kids or husband and good cup of coffee curl up on the couch and blog. Since getting married, having kids and a full time job it seems she gets less time to do what she really loves best and that is to blog. She tells me she hardly has time to respond to everyone and to read all the blogs she used to and to comment on them all. Oh and did I mention she love M&M’s and would love to have it show up at her door.

Thanks Mom

Well, if I could to ANYTHING, I'd want to see my dad.

He died 3 years ago of a rare cancer at he age of 53. I miss him a ton and when he was sick I was terrified of everything that was happening so I think that prevented me from "just being" with him. We all wanted to say what we needed to, and we all wanted to do things for him as he needed, but the "being" was hard beacuse it was so gruesome and awful to watch.

And, I just miss talking to him everyday and asking him things that only dads can answer. I constantly find myself wanting to call him about things that I know he would know or could answer for me.

I hope someday, if I get married, having a husband will lessen that need and desire, but for now, I still miss my dad everyday, so yeah, I'd want to see my dad for a day. :) Thanks!

I just stumbled on your blog this morning and first, I have to say "WOW!" I have been to a few product review blogs, but none put as much effort into describing the product. The color coordination of the outfits with the product was too cute! Your description of the product made me want to go out and buy them. Great Job.

Now, for my indulgence for one day would be to be to be pampered at a 5 star spa. I know it isn't very creative, but it is something I can't afford and desperately need!

Cayle said...

It so cute how you matched all the colors with the M&M's mmm my fav. might be mint chocolate yum.

My answer would be,
If there could me absolutely anything to do i would take off school and work for the day. Then i would go volunteer for something. ALSO i would drag my brothers along! xD

As I am 35 weeks pregnant, I would want to sleep in without any back pain. Then I would spend the rest of the morning and afternoon treating myself to a spa day. :) I would want to spend the evening with my husband at one of the nicest restaurants in boston...the top of the hub!!

Giant Sis said...

To indulge myself for one day, I guess it'd be a local thing - I'd get a day at the spa - massage, pedicure, facial - where they give you a bathrobe to wear and pamper you. But it wouldn't start until whenever I woke up - no getting up early for me! A lunch date with my husband in the middle of it. Then, get dressed up for dinner and eat at one of the fancy restaurants in Dallas (there's several Top Chef ones here). Have a decadent chocolate dessert to end the day. Yep, sounds like a good day to me!

clynsg said...

Difficult to narrow it down, and since my children are grown (actually even my grandchildren are!) I do have more leisure to do many of my favorite things than most of your posters! So I guess I will have my house perfectly cleaned and decorated, some delicious food available, and the entire family here enjoying themselves without worrying about any of the mundane problems of life today!

Great post! On my perfect day-- I would be with my husband and we would eat out every meal at places that are not seafood restaurants, and we would go out to a movie. I'm pretty simple. =)

It's a toss-up. I'd spend the first half of the day (after sleeping in!) laying on a beach somewhere reading with a delicious cold beverage all by myself. Then I'd pick up my husband and head to a cold mountain somewhere. We'd ski all afternoon, eat in a cozy lodge that night, then cuddle up in a log cabin afterwards playing games until late into the evening. Then I'd have whoever was babysitting drop off my precious little girl so I could rock with her for a little bit before bedtime. Ahhhhh...

Those chocolates look YUMMY!

If I could do anything and everything in one day, I would spend my day both loving on my sweet little boys and walking on the beaches of Aruba with just my husband. I love spending time with just my honey, but we always miss the boys now, I would choose to have both at the same time. :-)

Lets see, I would be lounging on a beach where the water is turquoise with a Coors Light in one hand (or my lounge chair cup holder) and a box of each of the yummy M&M's surrounding me. Since I now have a cup holder, a good book in the other hand.

Well, I don't have any children (yet :) but working at a full-time job and trying to go to night school full-time will certainly wear a girl down! If I had one day...first I would hire someone to do a complete top to bottom clean-down of my house. While that's going on I will be with my hubby at a cabin in the mountains, sitting on a pier over-looking the tranquil lake. Reading a good book for the FIRST time in years...until the sun sets and I find myself relaxing in the hot tub by nightfall. Yep...that would be enough refreshment if I only had one day =)

I would sleep as late as I could, in a warm bed in a cold room. I would have heavy blankets to keep me warm. For breakfast, I would have an omelet, biscuits & gravy, orange juice, a cinnamon roll and coffee. I would take a candle lit bubble bath, get dressed in comfy stylish clothes, and head out for the day. I would get my hair & nails done, visit the bookstore to stock up on magazines and a new Jodi Piccoult novel. I would stop at a local deli for a turkey sandwhich and a diet Coke. The afternoon would be spent in bed, reading and napping as my body directs me. I would spend the evening on a dinner date with my husband. We'd both dress up, have dinner and a scrumptious dessert! As a stepmother of 3 teenage boys and a special ed teacher...I would love the day to myself!

I am a brand new teacher. If I could indulge myself for one day- I would spend it at Lakeshore Learning and every other teacher store I could find or know of and I would buy all the grest things the kids in my school need. Books for them to take home to be stronger readers, school supplies for those that can't afford them, and LOTS of hand on learning manipulatives so that they can connect what we are learning to their lives. Unfortunately in my area, families struggle to provide food for their kids, and school funding is way down, so we do what we can with what we have, spend our own money, and we hope the future gets brighter with new leaders in charge!

My perfect day would go something like this:
I wake up on my own-no alarm clock, no crying baby, no barking dogs-and lay there in the stillness as long as I can. My hubby and I spend some one on one time snuggling together and then we go get our newborn son, Eli. We bring him in the bed with us and an all out tickle war ensues. After our morning time together, we go into our kitchen that is spic and span (perfect day, right?) where the coffee has just finished brewing. I feed Eli while my hubby makes a delicious breakfast. Eli falls asleep right as breakfast is ready (perfect day, right again?) and Josh and I savor every morsel of food and enjoy our coffee to the last drop! Eli wakes up and we spend the rest of our day together-watching movies, playing with each other, going for walks by the river, visiting family and friends, and enjoying each other's company. We watch the sun go down while we enjoy our fabulous dinner of grilled tuna, asparagus, and stuffed baked potatoes. We give our son and bath, read him his Bible story, and sing him to sleep. Then we curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watch movies together until we fall asleep until morning. That is my perfect day!

I would sleep in until 10 or so, uninterrupted. Then I would spend the day leisurely shopping, eating at a little bistro for lunch, and more shopping, sans children.
Did I mention my children are not involved in this day at all. I love them dearly, but I need a break once in a while!

Mmmmm, Premium M&Ms - I love the mint chocolate, and have an official addiction- I found them on sale at Target for 2 bucks a while back and bought myself a few...alright, all the ones they had left on the shelf!

The perfect day would have to begin by sleeping in till I woke up on my own, waking up to a scrumptious breakfast under the shining sun (that someone else cooked and cleaned up after), a good book to read while the baby takes a two hr nap (instead of 20 mins!), and an evening of snuggling with hubby while we watched something we both like, our boy. Simple and sweet.
