This is a compensated review by BlogHer and OxiClean.
BlogHer: "Suz, would you like to review 2 brand new OxiClean products that have the ability to lift the toughest of stains (while making whites whiter and colors brighter)?"...
Suz: "Umm, do I live in a house with 4 rough and tumble 2.5 year olds???!"
"U Betcha!!!!" Just take a look at our family blog!
So, how do these products work?
Power Pak- No more messy liquids or powders! Just toss 1 power pak, along with your detergent, into the washing machine while filling. (For high efficiency machines, place 1 pak directly into the drum before adding laundry) Doesn't get any easier than that, folks! Paks will dissolve quickly upon contact with water.
To remove extra tough stains: Toss 1 power pak into a gallon of the warmest water allowable for the fabric, allow mix to dissolve, add clothes and soak for 1-6 hours.
Gel Stick- Place Gel Stick directly onto the stain, pressing down to dispense the concentrated gel. Rub into fabric and allow to stand 5-10 minutes before washing in the warmest water allowed for the fabric. For BEST results, treat stains immediately. (or, if you're like me...you can wait about a week and still get good results from those nasty, set-in-stains!)
There is no doubt in my mind that these OxiClean products would have prevented MANY different articles of stained clothing from ending up in the garbage over the past several years. The Max Force Power Paks and Max Force Gel Stick worked wonders for our laundry. I'll let the pictures do the talkin'...
Meet Savannah. My darling daughter who has a sweet tooth the size of Texas. Sav recently indulged in all sorts of sugary treats while celebrating at a birthday party.
I was cringing inside- thinking of all the stains that were forming on her brand new lollipop shirt!...wondering if I would be able to work them out. And like many of the stained clothing in our household- the shirt sat in the dirty clothes hamper for almost a full week! (I know, I know- some call it lazy, I call it extremely busy!) On day 6, I treated the stains using the Max Force Gel Stick and threw it in the washing machine (along with a full load & a Max Force Power Pak). Whallah!
Not only have the stains disappeared, but the color is absolutely amazing! These OxiClean Max Force Power Paks unleash active oxygen (hence the "Oxi-" in the namebrand) which BOOSTS laundry detergent--resulting in colors that POP!
How about gray sweats with marinara stains? No problemo!
As you can see, we get LOTS of food stains around here...
And in case you were wondering, a Mexican food restaurant after church (with our nicest Sunday attire) is just askin' for stains.
...but the OxiClean Max Force products are equipped with 4 different types of stain fighters and are safe for all colors and temperatures--even those "Sunday chinos"!
I thought for sure that we would be throwing these 2 white shirts away. You see, Mama was "busy" again, a week went by, and I completely forgot to treat the stains (are you seeing a pattern here?). But for the sake of this review, I thought I would try it anyway---the true test, right?!

HOLY COW! I'm a believer!
Things I ♥ about the OxiClean Max Force products:
- Work as advertised: lift our stains (even stains that have been sitting for a week!) and brighten our clothes
- Smell GREAT! (and who doesn't love good smellin' clothes?!)
- Save us time & money by not having to re-run the washing machine over and over- trying to scrub out stains
- Safe for any type of clothing in any temperature
- Convenient and easy to use
- I'm seriously going to keep these products on hand at ALL times!
Things to consider:
- I have not had the opportunity to test these products on tougher stains (grass, blood, soil, grease, etc)
- Gel Stick is somewhat messy, but easily cleanable
- Retail Price: Stick~ $4.99; Paks~$7.99 (but worth every penny in my opinion)
WANT TO WIN A $100 VISA GIFT CARD?! ---

My answer: "the ridiculous nosebleeds while I was pregnant with quads!...blood everywhere! EEK!" (could have definitely used some OxiClean power!)

Maybe TMI!!! when my son was two weeks old I HAD to get out of the house. Hubbie, baby, and I packed up and drove 45 mins to Savannah, GA to go shopping. I wore white capris. I figured out when we got to the mall, I had forgotten to wear my diaper sized hospital pad. Yah, I had to have hubbie go buy me some new pants and I used my son's newborn size diaper as a pad!!!
I washed handmade burp cloth that had blue fabric on the edges - so cute! However, the blue fabric bled on EVERYTHING! Not so cute after that. :(
Hmm my worst stain... has to be Lansinoh breast cream from nursing. I still use it occasionally for the kiddos chapped lips or cheeks and it stains horribly. i am going to have to try these products on that and see if it works.

My worst stain was a full glass of red wine that someone spilled on my brand new outfit I bought for a friend's Christmas party. Why couldn't he be drinking white white?
Worst stain would have to be red wine!! The hardest to get out (or just impossible) if I don't use my Tide To Go pen right away!! BTW, I'm super impressed with the color lifting!!
My worst stain was red wine on my brand new outfit that I bought for a friend's Christmas party. It wasn't even me who was drinking the wine; why couldn't he have been drinking white wine instead?
Worse stains are when my hubby leaves a pen in his pocket and I dont catch it before. Little pen marks on the whole load and in the dryer are awful!!!
Some of my worst are those ground in grass/dirt stains my son loves to find while outside playing.
We LOVE oxi clean. Will have to grab some of the paks, very cool idea and less fuss than the powder/scoop.
The worst stain I've had to deal with would be paint on my husband's pants. For the life of me I couldn't seem to get that stuff off.
Without too many details, let's say it involved my husband and a manure pit!!! Nuff said. (And where WAS this stuff when I had 2 kids in 3 seasons worth of athletic uniforms?)
Chocolate!!! It's always chocolate!!

My worst stains come from living on a farm: grass adn grease!
I've conquered a lot of stains but one I'm still fighting is blood stain. The day we moved into our new home Lil Man fell hard onto the edge of our sofa and needless to say ended up with a nosebleed. I managed to get the stains off his clothes but I'm still battling the stain on the carpet. I've tried everything but Oxi Clean. I'll give that a try this weekend. Our only other option is to replace the carpet!
Cough drops left in my husband's pants pocket...this happens at least once a week! You'd think I'd remember to check!
I was dragged through the grass by my neighbor's dog (after a squirrel). The stain came out thanks to OxyClean. I use it at least once a week on my husband's baseball pants and my kid's clothes. They apparently like to roll around in the dirt on the playground.
OIL! ugh
With three teenagers, you would think I would be beyond stains-NOT!!! I would love the opportunity to try the product, especially on those expensive designer t-shirts that my fifteen year old son insists on wearing.
One of the worst stains happened when I "accidentally" washed one of my daughter's lip glosses. What a big mess!!! I didn't realize what had happened until I had washed and dried the whole load.

When my pen burst in my pocket, that stain NEVER came off :(

I ordered a comforter online a couple of years ago. It arrived covered in mildew. I was refunded my money, but thought it would be a shame to throw out the comforter so I tried to wash it. The smell came out rather quickly, but not the mildew stains.
Red Wine

the grease that pops up from the bacon is so hard to get out, I try to put degrease soap on it immediately to pre treat but it still always stains or discolors.

My worst stain has been when I've been getting out HN's Sunday smocked dresses from when she was a baby. Who knew that spit-up stain that appeared to be gone, but once stored in the heat in a Rubbermaid container that it would be back again!! I threw out several of her "fancy clothes"!
My worst stain happened while on a family trip. We were going to a car show and broke down on the side of the road. I got out to help my husband fix the problem and was soon covered in motor oil. On top of that it started raining so it really seemed to push that oil into my clothes even more. I ended up having to throw those clothes away. It was a new outfit too, bought for the trip.

worst recent stain....oily chocolate spots!!

Having three kids means that laundry challenges are just a "normal" part of life. I am obsessed with trying to preserve the clothes we have spent money purchasing for them. I have some go to methods that allow me to relax most of the time and let them enjoy being kids.
The one stain that vexed me was a dry erase marker on an EASTER dress the morning of EASTER SUNDAY. We had some wonderful friends join us for the weekend and on that morning we had everyone dressed in their best. My friends then proceded to give my littlest one a story telling toy which included dry erase markers...what a nightmare ! I thought it was more difficult than sharpies to remove. My husband managed to figure out the chemistry required to remove it since he grew up with parents who ran a laundromat. My Grace went to Easter with another dress on and no matching bow, needless to say. Not the biggest crime, but totally happy I had a backup dress.
the splatters of grease that you get while cooking, seems like they're permanent once they're there!
FORMULA SPIT-UP! One of my very favorite shirts could not be saved, no matter what we tried. Sadness.
Just tweeted the news from my http://www.twitter.com/mundanemagic account with this text:

The most recent memorable stain was from blackberry picking with slipping on mud and grinding in berries, grass, mud and blood. It was pretty colorful and was too funny to be mad about.

After 13 Days of Poo and Puke, I still can see the stained crib sheets and clothes in my sleep!
Some of them I just threw away. *guilty*
I got some of these products in the mail recently and I'm excited to try them out now!
Great review as always, buddy!
For some reason I had a blue ink pen in my back pocket and when I sat down...well, of course it broke and ink was everywhere. I was able to fade it quite a bit, but the stain remains.
Half a glass of red wine on my white cardigan! Yikes!
Worst stain was on an entire load of laundry - red lipstick went through the wash and dry cycles!
Mustard, spaghetti sauce anything I eat ends up on my clothes. I am going to try this!
I actually have 2 stains I remember not being able to get out. 1) Baby formula! I found some stuff packed away that I THOUGHT had come clean, but when I pulled it out for baby #2, it had magically reappeared! 2) Cinnamon gum in a load of whites. Hubby left some in a pocket that I didn't check. Some of the shirts had to be tossed. I still have a few things that I find little pink spots on!
I'm sold! Sign me up for some oxyclean.
oh, i don't know...probably grass stains from playing soccer. those are always bad.

Where do I begin?? Spaghetti sauce, baby food/spit-up, toner/ink, etc. Always looking for a good stainfighter and can't wait to try these products!

Hmm.. probably from my husband.. Bless his heart he cannot eat without getting something on his shirt.. BBQ sauce was probably the worst.
lisaklowery@gmail.com
The worst stains seems to be from the kids oe maybe well blood yikes that stuff is a nightmare!!
I was wearing a new silk pantsuit outfit for a party. As I was clearing the dishes, I picked up the remaining baked ham from the broiler pan and dropped it. Grease spilled all over my outfit and I could never get it out.
LWons@HotMail.com
The worst stains are my husband's. He manages to get grease on every shirt he owns and then waits too long to clean them. He 'assumes' the dry cleaner can get everything out and is wrong most times. He also seems to avoid grease (usually from tortilla chips at Mexican restaurants) on t-shirts but every Polo he owns has a stain on it. I no longer buy him nice shirts ;)
Worst stains? How about our 10 and 12 year olds' white football pants after a rainy fall game. YUK!
Mine would be Tar- from roofing on my pants. Blood- from my dog and I bonking heads and mine got cut open, blood all over my shirt. And poop stains on my daughters new outfit from a blow out.
bmitch@hickorytech.net

I had the worst stain when I bled from my ear where my darling blogging sister, suz, threw a softball and hit me in the ear.
I spilled a pepsi all down the front of my clothes. For some reason the was the hardest stain to get rid of

Fingernail polish on my husband's vintage Cubs shirt. Ooops!
My daughter used to have the worst blow-out diapers and I had to throw away a number of onesies, jammies and outfits because of them! wish I had oxi-clean then!

The green crayon that went throught the washer and dryer with a load of clothes.
My worst stains are always when a ball point pen leaks. Thanks for the entry for this great giveaway. ybutler@oppcatv.com
The worst stain I've ever had was paint for my daughters kindergarten art class all over her new pink Easter dress.
Worst stain was on my floor. I had received a weather barameter for Christmas and had it on my entertainment center. It was filled with the vivid red liquid that would rise with inclement weather. The glass holding it was not strong. Or at least did not with stand the tail knocking from my cat onto the floor. It shattered and there was red fluid in a two foot spill plane. It looked like some one was murdered. Nothing even put a dent in it. Suffice to say I lost my deposit on that apartment.
Blood. It's always blood.
"We've got a bleeder!" Nosebleeds are very common in my house!
The worst we've ever had to get out is gum, blood, or oil/tar - like from the beach in Galveston:) Oxiclean ROCKS!!!

My worst stain was a combo of permanent marker and baby food speghetti...don't ask how it happened!
My worst stain was having a ink pen explode in my back pocket of my favorite jeans.

I love my husband, but he is a bit of a klutz. The worst stain he has ever presented me was the day he was changing the oil on our van and hit his head. He rolled from under the van, the shirt had dirt, grass, blood and oil on it! We call it his trophy shirt because I have never gotten the stains out. I wonder if this would work on it. I am queenesperfect at yahoo.com
Blood is always the worst stain I have to deal with.
i have 3-year old twin boys. my entire LIFE is one big stain after another!!

My son had fresh blackberries at the farm on a fieldtrip and they had time to set in his shirt all day. I had a really hard time getting the stain out of a white uniform shirt.

Not such a nice image but after giving birth there was so much blood the first night I was home and I was tending to a fussy newborn that it leaked. Those pants (and chair by the way) were goners.

Worst? My son fell and busted his mouth open. Blood everywhere along with dirt, grass, you name it. All we needed was some chocolate ice cream, red Koolaid and marker to round it out, no? I think we may have ended up trashing that shirt. We can't ever keep a white shirt clean enough!
My worst stains are the baby clothes that have been packed away and come out with yellow stains. Oxiclean is my miracle worker!
We seem to be on a head-splittin rampage around our house lately. Two of my four have recently shed blood on various princess dresses and kitchen towels. =(
Axle grease. I tried everything and there are still these black marks on my tan pants (which have been since relegated to dirty work pants).
armpit stains of the big guy- ruins white shirts forever

Wow - those pictures are really impressive!
Worst stain - now this is awful and I actually wound up throwin these clothes away but.. I'm an ICU nurse. We have this "pressure infuser" which is basically like a big blood pressure cuff that hugs a bag of fluid and puts pressure on it/squeezes it to infuse it faster. Strawberry juice - I took my 2 boys (2 1/2 and 1) to the strawberry patch and they were full of juice!
I used to work in a deli that had a small deep fryer that had to be cleaned out every night. It was kind of shoved in a corner, so you had to pull it out a little to get in it. This usually involved me splashing gross grease all over, including onto myself. I just started buying black pants because it was impossible to get out!

The worst stain at our house...diaper blow outs. My daughters onsies seem to forever be ruined by blow outs. (and if you are a mom, you will understand what I mean).
grass stains and wine....works every time
The worst stains I've had to battle are grass stains. Those never seem to come out completely. Haven't tried oxi-clean on them yet though!

My worst stains are from Crawfish- my husband loves them since his parents are crawfish farners, but the seasoning on them when you boil them is horrible on clothes. It leaves horrible orangish stains. I would love to try these new products!
The worst stain I had to deal with was from a pen that got left in the wash. There were lots of little stains and it took a while to clean.
Aside from the grass and dirt stains on baseball suits (mainly from sliding which really grinds it in), it would have to be an ink pen left in the pocket of a pair of jeans and washed with 4 other pair!!
I have had lots of stains, but the only one that wouldn't come out eventually was tea on a white shirt.
Chinese food grease! I was going to a wedding with my husband and had a brand new dress on (that I could not wait to wear)... we were relaxing just before we were going to head out and I sat on the ottoman, as opposed to the couch. Little did I know that my husband had placed a bag of greasy chinese food there earlier. Needless to say, when I stood up, I had a HUGE grease stain on my rear end and had to change. I was so sad! Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Had to be the red lipstick that opened in the wash and then made its way through the dryer. I didn't think I could get it out but Oxyclean worked on every peice of clothing. Really amazing stuff.

My worst stain? How about lipstick all over my wedding dress....
The worst stain I ever acquired was a oily stain.
My worst stain is an oil stain.
I had a stain on my jacket that looked like an oil stain but I wasn't near a car or anything like that. I had no clue about how it got there.
