Tropicana #6: Hawaiian Falls!

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Tropicana.

I have been taking part in the Tropicana Juicy Rewards Program. By taking one minute out of my day (literally), I entered codes from our Tropicana purchases and received amazing discounts on Amusement Parks, Museums, Concerts and so much more! Click HERE to see our past family adventures.

We recently redeemed 1 point for a discount at Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield, TX- "Buy one regular price Big Kahuna single day pass and get a second Big Kahuna single day pass half off." (a savings of $11.50!)

We also redeemed 1 point for a discount at the concession stand- "Buy one hot dog meal and receive a second hot dog meal of equal or lesser value FREE- meal includes hot dog, chips, and a drink" (a savings of $6.00!)

We had a blast! Here are some pics of our fun-filled day at the waterpark with our little ones.

Getting ready, applying sunblock, and trying on our new shades (Top to bottom; Ben, Ethan, Andrew, Savannah)

3 cool dudes and 1 darling diva (Sav, Ben, Ethan, Drew)

Benny and Sav...two peas in a pod. SOOOOO excited to splash in some water!

...and here we are! Hawaiian Falls

Sav's not too happy about Mama making them sit down and hydrate before playing (S, B, A, E)

its "GO-time"! (Sav, Mama, Ethan, and Andrew)

...waiting to be splashed by the giant water bucket

"Whoaaaaaa!" (but wait, where's Ben?)

In Dad's arms about 20 feet away...scared to death! (poor guy, I couldn't help but laugh) Ben did NOT like that giant water bucket and had an eye on it at all times.

Stopping for some light refreshment (You can bring in a cooler of any size for $5. Packing your own food and drinks definitely saves $$$ at a waterpark!)

Here goes the waterfall again

Drew loved playing in the water

...and so did this little fish (Ethan). I'm pretty sure that my identical twins have gills!

Alas, every diva has her moment...

Dad splashing the kiddos

We're big fans of parks with shade over the playground equip! Not too many neighborhood water places where we are, so it is sprinklers, kiddie pools, popsicles, and the bounce house in the living room AC to keep cool with my kiddos!

Btw, saw your Puddle Jumpers and loved them. Bought it for my 3yr old girl and another for the 18mo girlie for next summer. SO GREAT! Best she has EVER done in the water when we tried it out last weekend! Thanks for the tip!

Well, I live in Seattle, so keeping cool in the summer isn't really an issue. I keep warm on the cloudy days by doing a dance to make the sun come out. (Okay, not really.)

I'm from southern California, though... Definitely kept cool in those days with lots of visits to the pool, lots of fan and iced drinks. And occasionally just standing in front of the open fridge. Look, the green craze hadn't started yet, what can I say?

P.S. Your day at the water park looks so fun! I loved going to the water park as a kid. Our local water park was the one immortalized in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure as "Waterloo." :)

Since I take Evening Primrose Oil for a hormonal imbalance, I have no climate control and stay extremely overheated. Especially on hot/humid/stagnant days in Alabama. Since I I get cabin fever by staying in the house A/C isn't a good answer.

So... I carry a bottle of water with me and if I get close to passing out. I pour the bottle of water over my shoulders, neck and back. Yes, it's true. I'm a walking wet t-shirt contest.
