Can Your Computer Keep Up With You?

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Intel.
It was like Christmas morning: opening my brand new computer (courtesy of BlogHer) that is powered by the Intel® Core™ i5 processor, complete with Turbo Boost Technology and an Intel® Wireless Display (aka WiDi) adaptor!
IMG_0777

There are 3 main components that I love about the Intel® Core™ i5 processor:
  1. Hyper-Threading Technology
  2. Turbo Boost Technology
  3. WiDi adaptor & Intel HD graphics
IMG_0778

What does all this mean?…Let me simplify.

I am a multi-tasker. On any given day, you will find me instant messaging with friends, downloading pictures, checking email, blogging, checking bank accounts, logging into Facebook, etc.- simultaneously. IMG_0812
The more applications that I have open, the slower my computer runs, and the higher my blood pressure boils. Not good. If Mama aint happy, aint nobody happy.
Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology◊2
Features four-way multi-task processing that allows each core of your processor to work on two tasks at the same time, delivering the performance you need for smart multitasking. You and your PC won't be slowed down, regardless of how many applications you have open at once. (Intel®)
Intel® Turbo Boost Technology◊1
Automatically speeds up your processor when your PC needs extra performance. (Intel®)
So, in other words---NO WAITING! NO slow apps. I can be doing 10 different tasks at once, all with super fast speed. It literally took me one quick hour to download 5 YEARS worth of pictures and videos to my new computer hard drive. IMG_4986This processor is FAAAAAST! I love it.

…not to mention the WiDi adaptor and ability to use my HDTV as a monitor!
IMG_0815

Check it out!

Intel® Core™ i5 processor with WiDi & Netgear Push 2 TV Adapter from suz steece on Vimeo.

Super easy to set up! Click here for specific instructions.
IMG_4976

My husband REALLY loves the WiDi feature because he is able to watch sports games via internet that are not broadcast on our local TV channels. Just this week, Uncle Ed came over to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves game with Joe.IMG_4998

And the Intel® HD graphics are amazing! Such a clear picture.
IMG_0816
Intel® HD Graphics◊3
Intel® HD Graphics provides superb visual performance for sharper images, richer color, and life-like audio and video.◊3 Watch movies and Internet videos in high-definition, play popular game titles, and get full support for Microsoft Windows* 7. It's all built in; no need for an extra add-in video card. (Intel®)
Do more faster. Get a smart Intel® processor inside in your next PC.
This new processor has definitely allowed me to free up my life and spend more time doing the things that I truly love like playing with my hubby and kids.

A fast computer would let me download music for the kids to dance to while uploading pictures from the day, all while instant messaging and checking out what is going on in the land of facebook. AHHHHH life would be good!

Oh my! I could so use more speed on my computer! Outside the home full time job, nurse to my husband and his long-term illness, Grammie to my sweet 9 mo old twin granddaughters...wow, it boggles my mind to think of all I could accomplish with a computer with all those amenities. From paying bills, keeping track of medical charts, records, etc to household organization and recordkeeping AND keeping up with photos and videos of our darlin's. This would be a dream come true.

I would love this. Like you I rely a lot on my multi-tasking skills and always have several applications open. This drives my husband crazy because it slows down the computer. For both of our sanity levels, this would bring a lot of peace. :-)

Pictures, pictures, pictures!! We really need the brain and brawn of this computer! Like you, I do everything on the computer on a daily basis.
But I'd really like to get this for my husband. His computer is very old and will no longer take the recovery disks to reformat it. (It's OLD!) It has recently begun shutting down every few minutes and I fear its days are numbered. We can't afford to replace it so I'd really love to give him this computer.

I would love to have more time. I have an older computer that takes forever to boot up and then downloading is another story...or should I say many stories by the time it finally downloads. I love music and on my old computer that is impossible. What life would be like with a real working computer. !!!!!

The possibilities are endless! But, a faster computer for me would mean quicker searches of multiple websites for dinner ideas! ;)

A faster computer would mean that my kids could play their preschool math games without getting the "low memory" error. It would be great. God Bless.
THANKS for the AWESOME GIVEAWAY!!!

I would be able to upload and edit my photos to my blog in a flash! And since I'm a designer, I'd be so easy to use my software and edit things quickly!

A faster computer processor could save my current computer until I can afford to upgrade. Right now, its far too slow and I'm afraid to have too many things open at once.

A faster computer would mean that, first off, I HAVE computer. :) But it would help me to get school done faster.

It would mean that the computer could handle my multitudes of open tab on Firefox and not crash when I push it too hard. LOL I have so many things going on at home and when I am on the computer I am cramming to get everything done at once and it stresses my computer and the DSL connection it is hooked to. A faster Processor would eliminate the lag time and help me to move between tabs to get all the information I need faster and without losing data in a crash or restart. It would also let me enjoy streaming videos without the pauses and the buffering. :) That would be absolutely wonderful!!

Winning a laptop made from the computer gods would help me with my plan to go back to school and follow my path to becoming a photographer. Could you imagine all the things you could do with a super computer? Thank you!
