What to Pack in that Lunch Sack?

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Juicy Juice.

Now that my 3-year-old quadruplets will be starting school again in the fall,

I am desperately trying to find healthy items to stash in their lunch boxes (which is NO easy task, let me tell you).

Sodas are out of the question, so the only remaining "mom-approved" drink choices are: milk, juice, or water. It is beyond frustrating to pass shelf after shelf of high fructose corn syrup based juices.

This health conscious Mama is looking for 100% REAL fruit juice- NO added sugars or sweeteners, NO artificial preservatives or flavors...

Well, HELLLLOOOO Juicy Juice!

A big package of Juice boxes arrived at our door (thank you kindly, Nestle and BlogHer!), and I immediately had 4, very eager, willing participants who were more than happy to help Mama with her review.
(Benjamin, Andrew, Ethan & Savannah trying out the Juicy Juice Punch flavor)

Each 6 oz Juicy Juice box contains 100% Vitamin C and counts as 1.5 servings of fruit- which scores major bonus points with me.

Well guys...whadya think? (Here's at least one satisfied customer)

"Mommy! NO added sugar!" (what can I say? Drew gets excited about healthy living)

Ben: "Hey Ma, Look! I can hold it without squeezing all of the juice out!" (Ahhh...like music to my ears: convienient, portable, no mess)

Things I ♥ about Juicy Juice Punch:
- great, fresh taste
- convienient
- nutritious (100% Vitamin C, 1.5 servings of fruit, NO added sugar or high fructose corn syrup, NO artificial preservatives, NO artificial flavors)

Things to consider:
- The average price for an 8 pack of 6.75 oz Juicy Juice All Natural 100% Juice is ~$3.50

Cheese sticks are a hit with all. Murray's makes a great sf cookie too. Juicy juice is a big hit too! Love your fun reviews. I usually don't chime in:)

We just had an 8 hour drive in the car and all my son wanted was juicy juice boxes the whole time! I had no problems giving them to him, since they are 100% juice. When I pack his preschool lunch I only want to pack 100% juice drinks. They are also good in or out of the fridge!!

We'll pack a string cheese and yogurt as one option, or a turkey wrap another day, or soup in their canteen. The variety keeps my boys from dreading lunch. We buy juicy juice at our house too, as they can't get milk at school, so the juice boxes are a great option for lunch!

We have an 9 yr old and a 2 yr old. When my older ds started to get sick of packing sandwhiches we started making them into roll ups. We take a whole wheat tortilla and any meat that we have (we have used chicken and turkey or even ham slices) and put on the wrap, with lettuce, tomato, and we use Lite Cesaer dressing, and then he gets grapes, or an apple, a bag of sun chips (our fave!!!) and fruit nuggets which is another WONDERFUL product (fruit snacks without all the sugar and such!) and then we pack either a juicy juice or honest kids drink. Sometimes we get lazy and throw in a candy or something but that's our lunch menu!

My 7 and 5 year old children like carrot and apple packets that I pick up in the produce section. Also string cheese. Yay to healthy lunches!

I usually pack fresh fruit and veggies, either milk or juice and always bottled water. Some time I pack yogurt. When it is warmer usually a sandwich on wheat bread with sliced turkey or chicken and when it is cooler usually soup.
