What to Pack in that Lunch Sack?

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Juicy Juice.

Now that my 3-year-old quadruplets will be starting school again in the fall,

I am desperately trying to find healthy items to stash in their lunch boxes (which is NO easy task, let me tell you).

Sodas are out of the question, so the only remaining "mom-approved" drink choices are: milk, juice, or water. It is beyond frustrating to pass shelf after shelf of high fructose corn syrup based juices.

This health conscious Mama is looking for 100% REAL fruit juice- NO added sugars or sweeteners, NO artificial preservatives or flavors...

Well, HELLLLOOOO Juicy Juice!

A big package of Juice boxes arrived at our door (thank you kindly, Nestle and BlogHer!), and I immediately had 4, very eager, willing participants who were more than happy to help Mama with her review.
(Benjamin, Andrew, Ethan & Savannah trying out the Juicy Juice Punch flavor)

Each 6 oz Juicy Juice box contains 100% Vitamin C and counts as 1.5 servings of fruit- which scores major bonus points with me.

Well guys...whadya think? (Here's at least one satisfied customer)

"Mommy! NO added sugar!" (what can I say? Drew gets excited about healthy living)

Ben: "Hey Ma, Look! I can hold it without squeezing all of the juice out!" (Ahhh...like music to my ears: convienient, portable, no mess)

Things I ♥ about Juicy Juice Punch:
- great, fresh taste
- convienient
- nutritious (100% Vitamin C, 1.5 servings of fruit, NO added sugar or high fructose corn syrup, NO artificial preservatives, NO artificial flavors)

Things to consider:
- The average price for an 8 pack of 6.75 oz Juicy Juice All Natural 100% Juice is ~$3.50

My little boy gets tired of sandwiches so I cube up bread, cheese, 1/2 inch lunch meat (the deli will cut it that width), grape tomatoes and put them on lollipop "skewers". He also loves chicken salad with some whole wheat crackers. I mix up chicken I cooked in a pressure cooker, add drained manderin oranges, choppoed grapes, chopped up celery, a little light mayo, a squeeze of lemon, salt/pepper/garlic powder. He loves it! I make him banana dogs too. A whole wheat hotdog bun, peanut butter, sliced banana, raisins sprinkled ontop. My email is krissriley@sbcglobal.net

Thankfully my 4 year old prefers healthy stuff so she's happy with some baby carrots, celery sticks, pretzels, and a string cheese. Of course breakfast (at home), snack and lunchtime (both at school) are all within a 3.5 hr span so a light, healthy lunch works out perfectly (:

My girls are now getting water flavored with Crystal Light or the off brand of it. We really are working on getting healthy food into them. Thank you!
